Britain's tallest Tudor gatehouse, built in the reign of Henry VIII, offers a unique setting for visiting, weddings and corporate events.
The challenge was to move Layer Marney Tower gently into the 21st Century, enforcing the new business plan yet respecting its heritage and integrity.
The design combines three core elements. The Charrington Leopard (from the owners' coat of arms), a terracotta brick (from which the building is made), and the use of solid black colour (associated with Tudor buildings and their decoration.)
